Fintech platform Maya continues to get recognized for its efforts, as it recently won three awards at the Retail Banking Awards 2023 and at the World’s Best Consumer Digital Bank Awards 2023. Maya’s recognition with the latter is significant, as was named Best Consumer Digital Bank and Best Mobile Banking App in the Philippines. For the former, Maya was recognized as Virtual Bank for the Year for its user-friendly, comprehensive digital banking solution for the unbanked and underserved.

“They have emerged as trailblazers in the digital banking sector in the Philippines and are likely to continue revolutionizing financial services, leaving a lasting impact,” Asian Banking & Finance (ABF) magazine said on its recognition of Maya. “Maya’s journey exemplifies their commitment to innovation, customer-centricity, and strategic vision.”

As of the end of June 2023, Maya attracted 2.3 million deposit accounts with a collective deposit balance of Php 24.9 billion. Maya had disbursed Php 10.8 billion in loans in invite-access mode by the end of June 2023.
