The Mazda CX-9 is a go-to vehicle for people looking for a refined, large, and flagship SUV. For 2022, Mazda Philippines has updated the CX-9 to make it even better, further raising the bench in terms of class, comfort, and elegance.
A new variant is added to the CX-9 model which is dubbed as the Black Edition. As the name implies, it sports black elements all around the car as can be seen on the grille, side mirrors, and 20-inch alloy wheels all in high-gloss black. This new variant will sit in the middle of two other variants — 2WD Touring and AWD Exclusive.
As for the other variants, they have recognizable differences in and out. The 2WD Touring has 18-inch gray metallic alloy wheels, 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat, and a 4-way power adjustable front passenger seat. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line CX-9 AWD Exclusive has a new gray metallic front grille, bright finished 20-inch alloy wheels, and larger tailpipe finishers. Inside the top variant, there are brown nappa leather seats with a diamond-stitched pattern and a sunroof.
As mentioned, tech and comfort have been improved in the 2022 model. The top-of-the-line variant now comes with an adaptive radar cruise control for long distance driving comfort. There’s also the addition of  Smart City Brake Support for the front and back, reducing the probability of collisions with oncoming vehicles in and out of parking spaces. Lastly, all variants now come with a G-vectoring control plus that improves the vehicle’s handling while on the road.
All variants of the refreshed model are powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged Skyactiv-Turbo engine. This engine has a power output of 250 horsepower and 420 Nm when running on 95-octane fuel.

The 2022 Mazda CX-9 has a price of Php 2,490,000 for the Touring 2WD variant; Php  2,790,000 for the 2WD Black Edition; and Php 2,990,000 for the AWD Exclusive.
