Want to experience 4K 120Hz gaming with your shiny new Xbox Series X or Playstation 5? Well, you’ll need a monitor that has HDMI 2.1 capability, as HDMI 2.0 just won’t cut it as it doesn’t have the bandwidth capacity to deliver that high of a resolution as well as silky-smooth framerates. Thankfully products like the ROG Swift PG32UQ exist, which is one of the few monitors in the market that have HDMI 2.1 capability.
The ROG Swift PG32UQ has two HDMI 2.1 ports that allow you to enjoy full 4K resolution at 144Hz, which means if you’re Mr. Moneybags and have both the Xbox Series X or Playstation 5, you can hook them up both to the same monitor and just switch between them like the rich player that you are.
PC gamers aren’t left out either, as the monitor also has a single DisplayPort 1.4 plug as well. The monitor sports DisplayHDR 600 support, a 160 percent sRGB color gamut (98 percent DCI-P3), and NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility – making it a great desktop monitor aside from being a next-gen console must-have.
Of course, all of these features mean that the ROG Swift PG32UQ isn’t going to be cheap, and while no price has been set as of yet, expect this monitor to come at a premium.
