After a successful run last month, the management of the Manila Metro Rail Transit System Line 3 (MRT-3) has decided to extend free antigen testing in select stations.
It is still free of charge for commuters of the said line, as part of the management’s efforts to help prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Free antigen testing is available during weekdays in two separate time frames: 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The testing sites are located at North Avenue, Cubao, Shaw Boulevard, and Taft Avenue stations.
Commuters who want to volunteer will only have to sign consent and contact tracing forms. Those who will test positive will not be allowed to board the train and will have to coordinate with their local government units for isolation and confirmatory RT-PCR test, according to the management.
The first round of free random antigen screenings for MRT-3 was conducted from January 11 to 31.
