Foldable smartphones are slowly making their way into the mainstream consciousness as of lately. Besides Samsung’s Z Flip and Z Fold projects, there is also Motorola’s Razr and the most recent Oppo Find N. Huawei already has the Mate X line of foldable phones and is expanding its portfolio with the P50 Pocket, which is set to launch on December 23.

The main differentiation point between foldable phones right now is that some go for a flip design while other go for a fold approach. The P50 Pocket is more of the former.

LetsGoDigital leaked this design in a recent post entitled “Huawei 5G Foldable Smartphone with Clamshell Design” when translated from Dutch. There are no specific details on the specifications yet, as this will most likely be revealed during the announcement on December 23 based on their official website. Current rumors state that the screen could size up to 6.7-inches when opened, and the smartphone could sport the Snapdragon 888 flagship processor.

According to Android Authority, a leaked shoot of Harper’s Bazaar China also circulated over Weibo, indicating that this could also be the final design for the Huawei P50 Pocket.

While it can be said that this gives us a small glimpse of who Huawei is targeting with the device, we have to remember that Harper’s Bazaar is a fashion-centric magazine and could be the first out of many different media collaborations Huawei is holding for the smartphone’s release.
