OPPO Launches A11s Budget Smartphone With 90Hz Display

Ending 2021 with a bang, OPPO introduces the A11s, a smartphone catered towards the budget-conscious market. It’s set to be released in the Philippines, although expectedly being sold in China as of the moment.

OPPO A11s Specs:

  • Snapdragon 460 chipset
  • 4GB/8GB RAM
  • 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 Storage
  • 6.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1600) LCD display, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Triple rear camera setup (13-megapixel main, 2-megapixel macro, 2-megapixel depth)
  • 8-megapixel selfie camera
  • 4G LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth
  • Nano Dual-SIM, 3.5mm headphone jack
  • 5,000mAh battery
  • 18W fast charging
  • Android 10 w/ ColorOS 7.2

According to GSM Arena, the OPPO A11s comes with a Snapdragon 460, an entry-level chip with 4G LTE capability. This processor should enable the device to play games at low settings and do most everyday tasks without much issue. For multitasking, either 4 or 8 GB of RAM can be made available to the user depending on the variant purchased. Representing up front is the 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which is a bump up over the standard 60 of yesteryear.

Images can either be captured with the triple-camera setup at the rear or the 8-megapixel single shooter at the front, although we’ll have to see how these perform when tests come out. The reasonably-sized display also makes a decent experience out of viewing captured content or media over the internet. A 3.5mm headphone jack makes itself present – a welcome addition for any smartphone in 2021 despite the prevalence of wireless audio solutions in this day and age. Keeping the lights on is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

The device will come shipped with Android 10, skinned with OPPO’s in-house ColorOS 7.2.
