Lives of stray dogs and cats matter too, but the amount of roadkill that we see on the road driving every day makes it seem like motorists don’t really value the lives of our furry friends. This is why Pawssion Project released their #BrakeforAnimals and #BeKindToAllAnimals campaign to speak up for the road safety of stray animals.
Rep. Ronnie Ong has posted on his official Facebook Page the official release of the #BrakeforAnimals and #BeKindToAllAnimals campaign. He posted photos of the campaign billboards to update everyone and also increase people’s awareness of the said campaign.
The representative wrote, “Just a split-second of braking for animals crossing the road can save lives. If you cannot adopt or rescue or foster, at least don’t hurt them please,” referring to the strays we see out on main roads, side roads, and even on the narrowest alleys of the city.
He also added a thank you and appreciation for all of their partners who gave tremendous support and helped them put up such giant reminders all over EDSA. These campaign partners include the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Jag Jeans, and City Advertising Ventures Corporation.
Non-profit organization Pawssion Project reposted the representative’s post and thanked him for all his support for the group’s campaign. They also posted that, “May this inspire LGUs and more private sectors to step up as well for the voiceless.”
May this campaign be a reminder to each and every driver out on the roads to always be careful and aware of their surroundings not only for other people but for animals, which are also living beings as well.
The #BrakeforAnimals and #BeKindToAllAnimals billboard campaigns can be seen in EDSA Guadalupe Makati Northbound, EDSA Highway 54 across Megamall, Cubao Northbound, EDSA Boni Mandaluyong Southbound, Cubao Southbound, Megamall Southbound, and Guadalupe Northbound.
