PC Game Pass Titles will Be Available with GeForce Now

GeForce Now will be more diverse when it comes to game titles, as Microsoft announced that all titles under its PC Game Pass catalog will be playable through NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service. This team-up between Microsoft and NVIDIA is made possible after the former signed a 10-year agreement with the latter to license XBox Games to GeForce Now.

“This will enable the PC Game Pass catalog to be played on any device that GeForce Now streams to, like low spec PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, mobile devices, TVs, and more,” XBox Wire EIC Joe Skrebels said in a blog post.

The small fine print, however, is that only select games from PC Game Pass will be supported by GeForce Now. Despite that, this is great news for the future of cloud gaming, as it allows PC Game Pass users to utilize the superior hardware NVIDIA is using for its cloud gaming service–especially with the RTX 4080 tier.

Aside from NVIDIA, Microsoft is set to acquire Activision Blizzard, though it is facing challenges with regulators over monopoly concerns when it comes to cloud gaming. Now that Microsoft is offering select titles to a rival cloud gaming service, this should convince regulators regarding its planned acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
