Red Magic’s Gaming Laptop Aims to Give the GT Book a Run for its Money

We were amazed at what the Infinix GT Book has to offer as a gaming laptop at its price point. Packing a Core i9 and an RTX 4060 at Php 85k was impressive, it was simply a matter of time before another brand would like to give the GT Book a run for its money. That’s what the Red Magic Titan 16 Pro aims to be.

This 16-inch gaming laptop is better than the GT Book in most aspects: you’re getting a display with a 2560×1600 resolution and 240hz refresh rate, along with a Core i9 processor and an option for an RTX 4070. Configuration options include a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD with another slot for further expansion, and up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM that can be expanded up to 96GB.

You also get a better port selection that includes a Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port, USB-C 3.2 port, USB-A 3.2 port, SD card slot, HDMI 2.1 port, Ethernet port, and an audio jack. Keeping the whole laptop cool are two large fans that operate at 3850 RPM. While it is a gaming laptop, the Titan 16 Pro does support 100w USB-PD charging.

How is the pricing of the Red Magic Titan 16 Pro? The Dark Knight version that has an RTX 4060, 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage is priced at CNY 10,499(~Php 85k), while the Glacier Silver version with an RTX 4070 and 32GB RAM will cost you CNY 13,299(~Php 108k). That’s still competitive pricing especially if you compare similarly-specced gaming laptops in the market.

After the launch in China, Red Magic confirmed that the Titan 16 Pro will be made available to other countries later this year given the teaser poster on their global website.
