Samsung is finally unveiling its latest Galaxy flagship phones with the Galaxy S22 and S22+. While both phones retain practically the same design language as their predecessors, both phones get their fair share of upgrades. Compared to their predecessors, both the Galaxy S22 and S22+ are a smidge smaller with their 6.1-inch and 6.6-inch 120hz Dynamic AMOLED displays. This results in both phones having smaller batteries than their predecessors: 3700mAh on the Galaxy S22, and 4500mAh on the Galaxy S22+. The Galaxy S22+, however, gets a slight upgrade with its faster 45w wired charging solution.
Despite looking practically similar to their predecessors (if not slightly smaller), both the Galaxy S22 and S22+ come with Gorilla Glass Victus glass backs–which is a definite upgrade to the Glasstic back used on the vanilla Galaxy S21.
Going to the cameras, while both phones went to use a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom instead of the 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x hybrid zoom found on their predecessors, the Galaxy S22 and S22+ use a new 50-megapixel main camera that still has OIS and Dual Pixel AF.
