Samsung Silently Announces Galaxy A04 with 50-megapixel Camera

While Samsung only brought the Galaxy A03 to the Philippines last February, the brand silently announced an updated version with the Galaxy A04. Aside from an updated back panel design that follows the design language of the Galaxy A13, the main upgrade of the A04 is its use of a 50-megapixel shooter for the main camera instead of the 48-megapixel camera found on its predecessor.

Aside from the camera and design upgrade, the Galaxy A04 inherits most of the A03’s features. These include a 5000mAh battery, 6.5-inch HD+ display with a notch for the 5-megapixel selfie shooter, and up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage depending on the region.

Samsung did not specify the processor used on the Galaxy A04, but we presume that it will use the same octa-core processor found on its predecessor. There’s also no mention of charging speeds, but it’s most likely that it will only support 10w charging via MicroUSB.

Samsung Galaxy A04 Specs:

  • 1.6Ghz Octa-core processor
  • 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM
  • 32GB/64GB/128GB storage, expandable via MicroSD
  • 6.5-inch HD+ TFT Display
  • 50-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with PDAF, 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor
  • 5-megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera
  • 4G, LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth
  • 5000mAh battery
  • Android 12, OneUI Core 4.1

There are no details yet on the pricing and availability of the Galaxy A04.
