ShopeePay announced that they will be updating transaction fees for cash-ins via GCash, Coins.ph, and 7-Eleven.
ShopeePay will be implementing a new round of transaction fees starting February 13 for those who will cash-in via GCash, Coins.ph, and via 7-Eleven. The biggest change in transaction fees is for those cashing in via 7-Eleven, as they will need to pay a 2% transaction fee for every cash-in.
The same 2% transaction fee applies for GCash cash-in via the Shopee app as well, which is double the current 1% transaction fee. Those who will use Coins.ph to cash-in via the Shopee app will only need to pay Php 7 per transaction, which is relatively lower than the current 1% transaction fee.
Before you get dismayed about the updated transaction fees for ShopeePay, Shopee shared in their advisory that you can cash in via GCash or other bank and E-Wallet apps with a transaction fee refund–provided that the cash-in amount is at least Php 1,000 and that you can only avail of the refund twice a month.
Another way that users can cash-in without dealing with transaction fees is by linking ther SeaBank, BPI, or UnionBank accounts with ShopeePay. Aside from Waived transaction fees, users get a chance of up to Php 200 cashback as well.
Lastly, over-the-counter cash-ins via TouchPay machines, ecPay, bayad, SM Business Services, and Pawnshops like Cebuana, Palawan, and M Lhuiller will still remain free of any transaction fees.
