Watch Filipino Athletes Compete for Gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics

As the 2024 Paris Olympics kick off tomorrow (July 27), Smart will be giving its most comprehensive live digital coverage as Filipino athletes gun for gold via the Smart LiveStream App for free, regardless of your mobile carrier.

The app can be downloaded via Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Aside from the app, Smart will be offering video-on-demand as well and will also stream select events via the Smart Sports and Puso Pilipinas social media pages. Smart LiveStream is scheduled to broadcast 24/7, while select events will also be streamed live on the Smart Sports and Puso Pilipinas social media pages.

The 2024 Paris Olympics is significant for the Philippines, as there will be 22 Filipino athletes that will be competing for the gold medal. Leading the lineup is EJ Obiena, who is ranked as one of the top pole vaulters in the world, while Carlos Yulo is a strong contender for multiple medals in gymnastics.

We also have Nesthy Petecio, Aira Villegas, Hergie Bacyadan, Eumir Marcial, and Carlo Paalam for boxing, with Petecio and Paalam looking to build on their silver medal performances from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

For weightlifting, John Ceniza, Elreen Ando, and Vanessa Sarno look to make their mark and follow in the footsteps of Olympic gold Medalist Hidilyn Diaz.

  • Samantha Catantan (Women’s Foil Fencing)
  • Bianca Pagdanganan and Dottie Ardina (Golf)
  • Kayla Sanchez (Women’s 100m Freestyle)
  • Jarod Hatch (Men’s 100m Butterfly)
  • Kiyomi Watanabe (Judo Women’s -63kg)

Aside from the livestream coverage, Smart also produced a documentary series called Puso in Paris 2024, which takes a closer look at the pre-game training and motivation of Filipino athletes. The documentary is divided into 4 parts: one featuring Carlos Yulo, one featuring EJ Obiena, one featuring Filipino Boxers, and one featuring Filipino Weightlifters.
