Smart celebrates a new accolade, as it achieved a 3-peat win as the fastest and best mobile network in the Philippines by Ookla. Previously, Smart received Ookla’s recognition as “Best Mobile Network” in the Philippines for Q1-Q2 2022, Q3-Q4 2022, and most recently in Q1-Q2 2023.
“This remarkable feat showcases Smart’s dedication to enhancing connectivity in the Philippines and ensuring consumers receive the best possible internet experience,” Ookla President and CEO Stephen Bye said.
For its Q1-Q2 2023 score, Smart achieved a Speed Score of 64.25, while its closest competitor scored 39.04. Smart’s Speed Score translates to a median download speed of 34.08Mbps and a median upload speed of 7.34Mbps. For comparison, its closest competitor achieved a median download speed of 22.52Mbps and a median upload speed of 5.38Mbps.Â
Aside from being the fastest mobile network, Smart was also recognized by Ookla for having the best mobile coverage in the Philippines, getting a Coverage score of 786–where its closest competitor got 769.
