Smart continues to retain its reputation as the fastest mobile network in the Philippines, as reported by Ookla in their Speedtest Intelligence data for Q3 2022. In its report, Ookla reports that Android, Apple, and Samsung users in the Philippines experienced anywhere between 35 to 75% better speeds when connected to Smart compared to the next top mobile provider.

In its report, Ookla states that Android devices performed 59% faster when using Smart (all networks) and up to 35% better using Smart LTE. With Apple devices, mobile internet speeds were 75% faster with Smart (all networks), 57% faster with Smart 5G, and 56% faster with Smart LTE.

As for Samsung devices, mobile internet speeds were 69% faster using Smart (all networks), 58% faster on Smart LTE, and 45% faster on Smart 5G.

Flores said. “The latest Ookla figures reaffirm Smart as the Philippines’ superior mobile network, which puts us in the best position to empower Filipinos to live more in an increasingly digital age.” 

Previously, Smart was awarded “Fastest Mobile Network” and “Best Mobile Coverage” from Q1-Q2 2022. Smart posted a Speed Score of 62.22, while its closest competitor posted a score of 32.48. As for coverage, Smart got a score of 794, while its closest competitor got 732.

As of June 2022, Smart has 77,100 base stations nationwide that include 7,300 5G base stations.
