TECNO Mobile is extending its support to local community heroes during these trying times. The company has generously donated cash and smartphones to the everyday heroes found in the pillars of our community: the church, civic groups, and the local government.
The first beneficiary is the Ina ng Lupang Pangako Parish found in the middle of Brgy. Payatas. The said area is notoriously known for being one of the most hazardous places to live in Manila due to its proximity to an open area that functions as a solid waste disposal landfill. The parish provides educational and livelihood opportunities to poor people in the area through donations from different entities. To show its support, TECNO Mobile Brand Marketing Director Jason Liang donated Php 100,000 and 10 smartphones to the church.
The second beneficiary is Project Malasakit. It is a scholarship program with a mission to bridge the gap between Filipinos who want to help, and Filipino children who need assistance in their education. Marketing Director Jason Liang supported the project with a donation of 30 smartphones and Php 100,000.
The last beneficiary is the City of Manila. Mayor Isko Moreno, a public servant known for his active service to the local community, was given 50 smartphones and Php 200,000. The amount and smartphones he received through the mayor’s office will help his constituents respond to live reports and ensure organisation and coordination for projects such as the recent vaccine rollout.
All the donations and support from TECNO Mobile are the company’s way of giving back to the community. This is also made possible by the successful release of their smartphones in the country, including the Spark 7 Series, Pova 2 gaming phone, and most recently, the CAMON 17 Series. Through this effort by TECNO Mobile, they too have become heroes in helping the country rise up during these trying times.
