The All-New 2023 Honda BR-V Is Coming To The PH

Many have expected a follow-up to the original Honda BR-V that made its way to the Philippines all those years ago, and its finally been confirmed. The all-new 2023 Honda BR-V has made an appearance at the 2022 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

From the outside, most visible is the piano black front grille present on many other modern Honda models. This variant appears to have LED fog lamps, DRLs, and angular lines that stray far away from the previous generation’s curves.

This model is a 7-seater, meant to be a people carrier for the Philippine market. The target demographic seems to be families and businesses that require practical point A to point B transportation, albeit with more refinement than before.

Under the hood is a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, outputting 121 HP with 121Nm of torque. This is mated to a CVT for maximum fuel efficiency to the front wheels.

To match the popular design philosophy of 2022, nearly all touchpoints are appointed with leatherette or soft-touch materials, albeit some panels are covered in still done with hard plastics. International units get a 4-speaker setup with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which we can assume will also be coming to the Philippine variant.

Safety features are a mainstay with Honda Sensing technology. This includes Lane Keep Assist Systems, Collision Mitigation Braking, Auto High Beam, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lead Car Departure Notification Systems. This comprises only some of the kit the 2023 Honda BR-V possesses.
