As a successor to the C3510, the ColorWorks CF4050 uses Epson’s new PrecisionCore TFP Printhead technology for higher-quality print labels at increased efficiency. The new printhead is also paired with a Micro TFP PrecisionCore print chip that accurately controls ink placement at super-fast speeds.

Both new technologies allow the ColorWorks C4050 to print high-resolution images of up to 1200 x 1200 dpi. The built-in spot color matching function with IPP profile creation ensures that perfection is delivered in the details, even for complex labels. The ColorWorks C4050 allows accurate on-demand color label printing, reducing labeling costs with paper-saving and ink-saving functionalities.

The ColorWorks C4050 comes with a built-in Auto Head Maintenance feature that uses Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT) to let users set predefined times to check and clean the printhead nozzles if they are clogged. It can use Matte Black or Gloss Black ink cartridge, along with Cyan, Magenta, and YellowDURABrite Ultra Pigment premium water-resistant ink for printing out vividly colored labels. All ink cartridges have a higher capacity for better printing cost savings. 

The ColorWorks C4050 comes with a 2.7-inch color LCD for ease of use, along with WiFi connectivity through an optional dongle for seamless connectivity with businesses. Aside from that, it is compatible with Mac and Linux users and supports middleware such as BarTender, NiceLabel and CodeSoft.
