As for the previous Premium Plan worth $10, Tidal has upgraded their subscribers’ experience with CD-quality lossless 1411kbps FLAC instead of 320kbps AAC. 

The HiFi Plan worth $20, which is now called HiFi Plus, is now equipped with access to high-res MQA, Dolby Atmos, and Sony 360 Audio encoded music. Cool features, such as the Direct artist payouts and Fan-centered royalties have also been added. 

Hardcore fans and supporters of music artists will be thrilled to see what these two new features are all about. 

Direct artist payouts mean that the app will take 10% of your membership fee and give this to your most-streamed artist, which means that the more you listen to them, the more they will get out of the 10%. What’s cooler is the fact that you will get to see who your monthly top artist is and how much they got paid. Do take note, however, that this is just an incentive from the application and that the artists are of course getting paid by Tidal under their own contracts and agreements.

Another feature that will be ready by 2022 is the Fan-centered royalties. Fan-centered royalties will mean that Tidal will send royalties to artists from your direct stream of their music, which will enable artists to get more revenue.
