Toyota Motors Philippines has confirmed the February release of the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid. Now, the Japanese automaker has revealed the official photos of the new model.
Looking at the official photos, the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid now comes with new projector-type LED headlights and LED fog lights at the front. It also comes with new 10-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels with Bridgestone Alenza H/L 33 tires.
You can also see that it has a black roof with visible cutouts, which can only mean that it will probably come with a sunroof.
Toyota Motors Philippines did not release photos of the car’s interiors. Basing it off on the model’s global updates, such as its European refresh, we can assume that it will come with LED interior lighting, a power adjustment for the front passenger seat, illuminated window control switches, and new USB-C charging ports. The looks of the rear view mirror could also mean that it will be equipped with a camera.
On a closer look, the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid will also come with front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree panoramic view camera. Since it will be equipped with Toyota Safety Sense, standard equipment such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert, and automatic high beam should be present.
Another mystery that Toyota Motors Philippines has kept under covers is the powertrain which the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid will come in. Globally, the model is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 versions with both powertrains using a 2.5-liter Dynamic Force engine as base. The 4×2 is capable of producing 218 horsepower, while the 4×4 is capable of up to 222 horsepower because of an additional electric motor in its rear axle.
