UNBOX CON is set to be the premier convention for collectors of all things fun – whether it be sneakers, cards, figures, and anything under the sun. We’ve seen tons of large-scale cons before though. What makes this one different is that the love for tech has been implemented by the organizers into the planning.
The event is set to be on June 18, 2022, at the SMX Manila Convention Center. There will be over 100 exhibitors and merchants prepared to sell a variety of items, from desirable goods to limited drops by companies like DBTK, WetWorks, Above the Ankle, and others. A full-day program is also set to include DJ performances, creator panel discussions, and live NBA card box breaks with celebrities/PBA players.
How do you attend this event? The tickets are available in 3 tiers: Silver, Gold, and Platinum each priced at 200, 800, and 3000 pesos respectively. As expected, each of these tiers comes with its own set of goodies. For example, the Gold ticket drops a free limited It’s Sole Good x Unbox collaboration tee along with a sticker pack.
There will no longer be a need to line up anywhere since ticket sales will be conducted over Lazada. Once purchased, the ticket will be stored in the user’s app as a QR code that can be scanned for entry on the day of the event. The partnership with Lazada doesn’t stop there – fans who are unable to attend the physical event can just buy what they want on the e-commerce website from the exhibitors themselves. Exclusive deals will also be running online during the duration of the event. What a convenient connection.
The Platinum ticket priced at PHP 3000 comes in the form of an NFT you can mint on the OpenSea platform, a brainchild of SNK ATK Creative Director Psalm Alfafara. There will only be 300 of these, bundled with the following perks:
