Valorant Mobile Beta Testing Starts in China

During Valorant’s one-year anniversary on June 2, 2021, Riot announced that a mobile version of the game is coming soon but not enough details were given. Months after that announcement, an official post confirmed that Valorant Mobile is coming to China. And today, the beta testing has officially started.

As you all know, Valorant is a Windows PC exclusive. However, things are about to change. Just like the popular MOBA game League of Legends, Riot plans to “expand the [Valorant] franchise” to make it accessible to “more players around the world.”

Anna Donlon, Valorant’s Executive Producer said, “One of our top goals this first year was to earn the trust and respect of the global FPS community and to prove to them that Valorant will always uphold the fundamentals of a truly worthwhile competitive tac-shooter.”

Screenshots of the beta testing, which already started today in China, are already circulating the internet. According to reports, the mobile game was made possible with the help of internet-based platform company Tencent, a company known primarily for another FPS game, CrossFire, and popular mobile sensation Clash of Clans.

One credible leaker in the name of DannyINTEL has revealed that  Valorant mobile has, in fact, officially gone into testing stages in China. In the images he posted online, we can see various loading screens and an actual in-game screenshot that shows the mobile UI.
