After launching the 5G version of the Y53s last month, Chinese brand vivo has officially announced its 4G version in Vietnam. The Y53s 4G may look similar to the pricier device launched earlier, but the new phone has a few key differences that cater to people who want to save a few bucks by not going with the 5G variant. The official vivo Y53s Price in the Philippines is not announced yet but let’s first take a look at the specs.
The most important change is that the vivo Y53s 4G is powered by the MediaTek Helio MTK G80 VS the 5G model only that uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 chip. Interestingly, vivo has upgraded the selfie shooter of the Y53s 4G, with the new phone sporting a 16-megapixel selfie camera, up from the 8-megapixel on the 5G variant. The phone has a powerful 64-megapixel primary camera on the rear, accompanied by a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The screen refresh rate has been reduced from 90Hz to 60Hz which may not feel as snappy. But you’ll be glad to hear that the battery charging speed has increased from 18W to 33W, with the battery capacity still at 5000mAh. The phone still uses vivo’s Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11.1.
The rest of the features are similar to the 5G model. You’re looking at a 6.58-inch Full HD+ LCD display, 8GB (+3GB virtual) RAM, and 128GB internal storage. The Y53s 4G variant also offers a USB-C port, a dedicated microSD card slot, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which is advertised to unlock the phone within 0.24 seconds.

The vivo Y53s 4G comes in two colorways: Blue Purple and Black Green. No official pricing is available yet in the Philippines, but the phone has a price of VND 6,990,000 or around Php 15.2K in Vietnam.(~ PHP 15260).
