vivo has silently added another phone to its local lineup. The company’s new vivo Y12A is now officially available in the Philippines, along with a sub Php 7K price tag. 

With a price tag of P6,499, the new vivo Y12A shares the same price as the vivo Y12S in the Philippines. Interestingly the two phones share not only the same price but also the same battery capacity (5,000mAh), side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 6.51-inch screen, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. Even the front and rear cameras, available colors, and design are similar, too. There are a few differences of course, most notably the processor: the new vivo Y12A uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor and comes with Android 11 out of the box. On the other hand, the Y12s uses a MediaTek Helio P35 chip and comes with FunTouch OS.

Unfortunately, the Philippine market doesn’t have the Mint Green color variant available in other markets, such as Malaysia and Thailand. Only the Phantom Black and Glacier Blue colors are available in the Philippines.
