While we already know about the V27, vivo announced another phone with a 27 model number through the entry-level Y27. Announced in India and Malaysia, the Y27 has a dual circle design in the back that houses two cameras: a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The two circles have a decorative gold accent to give them a premium look.
The Y27 has a 6.64-inch IPS display with a notch for an 8-megapixel selfie camera and a Full HD+ resolution. While it is powered by a rather old Helio G85 processor, the main selling point of the Y27 is its charging speeds: like the Y36, you get a 5000mAh battery that supports 44w charging. It comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, along with Android 13-based FunTouchOS 13. You also get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner with the Y27, along with a headphone jack.
While its specs sound very modest for a 2023 phone, the interesting part about the vivo Y27 is its price: in Malaysia, it is priced at MYR 699 or around Php 9k when converted. Considering that you get features like 44w charging and a 50-megapixel main camera, the Y27 positions itself as an compelling budget offering from vivo. Given that it made its way in Malaysia, we think that vivo might bring it to the Philippines soon.
