What are the gadgets on your desk?
I just moved to a new office last week and I found myself with a clean glass desk. Unlike my previous table at my past work, I decided to keep things to a minimum with that stuff I wanted on it. I checked around the Unbox HQ for some gadgets I could bring over and I selected those that took up the least amount of space but had the most benefits and function. Check them all out below and let me know what you guys think. 🙂
For Audio
I was initially thinking of getting the Harman Kardon Sound Sticks III since the design of the speakers matched the over-all “glass” theme of the set-up. However I went for the Braven 650 instead. The Braven 650 not only takes up such a small footprint on the desk but it’s also crazy powerful. There was also no need for wires and cables anymore since I can just connect my phone, tablet, or laptop to it via bluetooth and the device itself was rechargeable. It was also a bonus that the Braven 650 also has a speakerphone function which is important since I usually do video calls via Skype on my laptop.
For headphones I went with the Bowers & Wilkins P3. Very compact, awesome sound quality, and looks elegant.
The Tablet and Phone in One
Instead of the usual iPad + iPhone combo I’m currently using the Asus Padfone 2. It’s one device that can do both! You can slide in the phone and dock it on the tablet when you want a bigger display. It’s also a huge plus that the specs of the phone itself are top tier: Android Jelly Bean, Quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, and an 8-megapixel camera. Definitely one of the funkiest gadgets I’ve ever used but also one of the most useful. Watch out for our unboxing and full review of the Asus Padfone 2 in the next few days.
The Laptop
If you talk about power, elegance, and style then the MacBook Pro 15-inch with Retina Display should be at the top of your list and that’s what I went for! This laptop is ridiculously amazing. Not only is it crazy thin and light but it packs so much power inside it as well. The display is also gorgeous! Definitely the centerpiece of the desk, hehe.
The Ultimate Desk Charger
Last, but not the least, I wanted the best mobile device charging product I could find. I went with the Joy Zip Touch n’ Go Multi-Charging Station. It takes up a small space only, it looks great, and it can charge multiple devices. This is the gadget that gets the most comments also when I have visitors over.
And that’s what I have on my desk right now! What do you guys think? How about you? What gadgets do you have on your desks? Comment away below. 🙂
