Fintech platform Wise has announced that it will be offering Php account details for its customers in the Philippines allowing users like freelancers, international students, and expats based in the Philippines to receive payments in Philippine Peso (Php) into their Wise account without paying for any additional fees. This provides a simpler and more convenient way to manage their finances without needing a traditional bank account or local address. 

The rollout of Php account details is part of Wise’s effort to make international payments fast, affordable, and transparent for everyone. Since launching in the market in May 2024, Wise has gained direct access to InstaPay to allow users to transfer funds to their Wise Accounts conveniently via bank transfers or e-wallets like GCash and Maya.

The addition of PHP account details also brings the total account details available to 23, which include GBP, AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, HUF, NZD, SGD, USD, and TRY. These account details are unique to each individual, allowing users to share them with their friends, companies, or customers to receive money globally.  

“PHP account details, and the ability to instantly top up Wise accounts and card transactions through InstaPay, are among the most highly-requested features from our users. We believe these added capabilities will help users to seamlessly manage their finances and enjoy a convenient payment experience,” Wise Philippines Country Manager Areson Cuevas said.
