Your favorite productivity suite just got smarter

Microsoft teamed up with Power Mac Center to showcase its Office 2019 lineup. Comprising of well-renowned apps such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, Microsoft added a few nifty features to them to improve your productivity. During the launch last October 23, they demoed some of these nifty features. Here are five features we think will elevate your work:

 

Word: Researcher

Instead of switching tabs between Word and your internet browser, Word 2019 has a Researcher feature that lets you look up certain topics and find the right resources for it. From there, you can copy the necessary info you need—and add citations as well.

Word: Focused mode

Do you want to just get your writing vibe on—without any distractions? the 2019 version of Word has a new view mode called Focused, which eliminates all toolbars and rulers, leaving you with only the document you are working on. To make things fun, you can change the background to suit your taste.

Excel: Maps

Want to impress your boss when presenting data? Excel 2019 comes with a Maps feature that lets you present a more graphical explanation of your data, complete with the location of your said data.

Powerpoint: Design Ideas

If you are on a slump and can’t think of a nice design layout for your presentation, Powerpoint 2019 can take care that for you. Using Microsoft’s Machine Learning, Powerpoint 2019 generates a series of suggested design layouts based on the content you placed on the slide.

Powerpoint: 3D models

Want to add extra oomph to your presentations? Powerpoint 2019 lets you add 3D models to your slides, and you can rotate them 360 degrees or tilt up and down to get your point across. In addition, by using the morph transition, you can make your presentation interactive by incorporating different angles to your 3D model and let your audience be in awe as the model “moves” as you change slides.
