The motorcycle-based ride-sharing app scores a temporary victory
Angkas, the motorcycle-based rider-sharing app were granted a preliminary injunction by the Mandaluyong RTC earlier today.
Angkas was previously shut down last year in November by the Land Transportation and Regulatory Board because of concerns of rider and passenger safety, along with the lack of mayor’s permit to operate in Makati.
Despite the closure of Angkas, the motorcycle-taxi trade continued, with many riders and passengers booking rides through a multitude of groups in Facebook.
This development means that Angkas can resume its operations for the meantime, pending the court’s final ruling.
