Anonymous made a post on their Twitter account, calling everyone to delete TikTok from their phones, citing that the app is a “malware operated by the Chinese government running a massive spying operation.”

In the said Tweet, Anonymous shared a screenshot of a Reddit post detailing what TikTok collects. According to the Reddit post, TikTok collects far more data than what’s on your clipboard the latter being discovered in the beta version of iOS 14.

While there’s no confirmation yet from the Reddit post, TikTok was one of the 59 apps banned in India due to rising tensions.

TikTok has yet responded to Anonymous’ allegations but said that they are working with the Indian government to address concerns.
