As part of its push towards digital banking, BPI recently updated its mobile app, offering an option to create a bank account thru the app itself. This option is viewable through the app’s home page and will ask if you have an existing BPI account or if you want to enroll first thru BPI online banking.

Being a new feature that has yet to fully roll out, we received a notification saying that the feature is not yet available as of now. Most likely, BPI is still ironing out the kinks of this new feature before making it fully official to the public. Nonetheless, this is a good move for BPI, as it aims to make banking easier for everyone.

Prior to this, BPI added features  last year that include being able to transfer funds to PayMaya and to load e-Wallets like Beep, Easytrip, Autosweep, Dibz Pay, and Getgo.
