Asus ROG G73JH Gaming Laptop

Alienware is now finding itself with competitors in the laptop gaming field. Asus announced the arrival of their 17″ Asus ROG G37JH Gaming Laptop last January at CES 2011. They’re calling the line Republic of Gaming (ROG). It’s a sleek design with a black matte finish, based on the Lockheed F117A stealth fighter–it is said that it’s as quiet as one. It’s also fitted with a keyboard that’s easier for gaming, compared to the old laptop keyboards that tend to get things stuck under the keys.

The newest gaming laptop from Asus.

The battery life of this laptop is reported to last 1 hour only when on Performance mode. This means that it’s best to play games while plugged in. Anyway, Li-ion batteries perform better when they’re not fully discharged. One thing to note is that you should keep this gaming laptop as cool as you can–Li-ion batteries don’t like heat, either. Thankfully, it’s designed to exhale hot air through its rear vents.
