It’ll have the same fast-paced combat that made the original great
Devil May Cry fans, we have good news: you’ll be able to bust demon heads on your smartphone as Dante come 2018. The mobile game, dubbed Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat, is an action RPG that actually looks to emulate the fast-paced combat of the franchise on your mobile device.
The game is being developed by Yunchang Game, a relatively unknown outfit in China, and will utilized a Unity 3D engine that will try to replicate the now iconic gameplay of the Devil May Cry franchise. There’s very few console to mobile games that have managed to achieve that particular feat. Games like Mortal Kombat for example, traded in the console version’s rich combo mechanic for simplified swipe gameplay.
Several screenshots of the game supposedly in action has circulated, but until actual gameplay footage comes out, we’re not holding our breath.
Unfortunately right now Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat is slated for a China release for 2018 – no word yet if the title is getting an international release.
