It’ll be doing battle with PUBG and Fortnite
EA’s out of the blue Battle Royale hit, APEX Legends is the best title in the company’s lineup currently, and it’s no surprise that the publisher is looking to bring the title over to mobile phones.
The company is already in advanced negotiations to bring APEX Legends to mobile, though there’s no time frame as of yet when the mobile version will drop. It’s unclear if EA and Respawn will be able to keep the gameplay similar to the desktop version like how Fortnite is on mobile, or if they’ll go for a slightly watered down version like PUBG Mobile.
In any case, the mobile version will probably be as popular as the PC game, which now boasts more than 50 million players back in March.
