It’s a great time for nostalgia
No one saw this coming: Sony surprised everyone today by announcing that they will be bringing the OG Playstation back in the form of the PlayStation Classic. The retro console is 45% smaller than the OG PlayStation and comes preloaded with 20 “generation-defining” games that include Final Fantasy VII, Tekken 3, Ridge Racer Type 4, Jumping Flash and Wild Arms. In short, every single game that millennials hold dear to their hearts.
Instead of a memory card, the PlayStation Classic has a virtual memory card for saves, with the games already pre-installed inside of it. Just like other retro consoles, you’ll be able to save your progress instantly, and the machine has an HDMI cable to be able to interface with modern TV sets and monitors.
And unsurprisingly, the console comes with two PS1 replica controllers that were virtually molded into our hands as adolescents.

The best part? The PlayStation Classic is coming to the Philippines this December and will retail for Php 6,190.
