GCash Postpones Implementation of Bank Transfer Fees

GCash Postpones Implementation of Bank Transfer Fees

Right before September comes to a close, GCash updated its advisory on implementing bank transfer fees. Instead of October 1 as initially planned, the app notifies users performing bank transfers that the implementation of the Php 15 fee will happen on November 1 instead.

This should be a relief for those who depend on GCash for their business transactions, as they have a month-long buffer to do all of their necessary transactions before November 1. While bank transfers will have a Php 15 charge, those with linked BPI or Union Bank accounts can enjoy bank transfers free of charge. In addition, GCash to GCash transactions, Pay Bills, and Buy Load will still remain free of charge.
