Honestbee Pauses Operations in the Philippines

There’s no date when they will resume operations

Over the Holy Week break, people were puzzled when Honestbee started to become unavailable in their area. Honestbee posted in their social media accounts last April 20 that their systems are temporarily unavailable.

Honestbee sent another update today, stating that they are temporarily halting their operations for the time being. In a statement sent to, Honestbee’s representative said that “Our operations in the Philippines will be temporarily unavailable while our [headquarters] work towards bringing the total business to a healthy and sustainable level.”

While the Philippines is Honestbee’s best-performing market, the same can’t be said to neighboring countries according to Tech in Asia. In its report, Honestbee has retrenched at least 50 to 70 people out of its 1,000-strong staff across several markets last week. Aside from the retrenchment, several key executives from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore have tendered their resignation.
