A second Open Beta Test will allow players to experience the hunt firsthand. Participants will face Arkveld, the game’s flagship monster. The beta also features the return of Gypceros, including the Base Camp’s Training Area, and enhanced online functionalities, such as Private Lobbies and Online Single Player mode. Character creation and cross-platform multiplayer will be available, with data transferable to the full game once it comes out but, note that the planned performance and balance adjustments will not be included in the beta.
The Open Beta Test 2 will run from February 7th to 10th and February 14th to 17th (GMT+8) and I, for one, am very excited to jump back in get my feet wet as the release of Monster Hunter: Wilds draws closer.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Post-launch content will include limited-time event quests with special armor rewards, as well as further updates. Details on these updates will be released at a later date.
