PayMaya Just Made It Easier To Load Money Through 7-11 Stores

No need for Cliqq, just show the barcode

While we often use PayMaya whenever we go out of the country, loading up cash in our card hasn’t been as convenient as we’d like. Theoretically you could always just put in cash in your account through Cliqq in 7-11’s anytime, though in practice the self-service Cliqq kiosks are almost always offline.

Thankfully PayMaya has made it easier to load up in the convenience store chain without needing to go through Cliqq. A recent update of the app now allows you to simply print up a barcode that you show to the counter in a 7-11. After the cashier reads the code (that has the amount that you want to put in) they ring it up in the counter and you get confirmation of your top-up almost immediately after.

While there’s other methods of loading up credits in Paymaya, for example in SM Payment Centers, being able to load up in 7-11’s is the most convenient for us. We typically do very late night/early morning eBay purchases once in a while, and being able to just walk over to our nearest 7-11 without offering a sacrifice to the connection gods for Cliqq to be online is a nice change of pace.
