Construction and management simulation games were all the rage back in the day. While Sim City definitely ruled the roost in this genre of gaming, titles like Roller Coaster Tycoon by Atari provided a nice break from the the hum-drum life of a City Planner and puts you in the shoes of a Theme Park Owner. If you’re unfamiliar with the title, Roller Coaster Tycoon lets you build the theme park of your dreams where you have to make sure you have a variety of rides to keep patrons happy, which will in turn keep the profits up. It’s pretty much like SimCity but , instead of Residential, Commercial, and Industrial zones, you get to build rides and other theme park attractions. You get the drift.
Atari has just released Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic for Android and its mash up of both Roller Coaster Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. It currently retails for Php 299 on the Play Store. The graphics may be a bit old school but if you’re looking for a game with a bit more depth to kill time with, we definitely recommend picking this one up.
