To be your one-stop-shop for anything music?
Are you one of those who uses Spotify for most, if not all, of your music needs? Spotify is testing on several new features and some of them are interesting. Based on what Jane Wong—known for spotting experimental features in apps—spotted an upcoming feature that lets you import music from your phone a la Google Play Music.
There’s also a redesigned library view, where Favorite Songs is now counted as a user-generated playlist.
Lastly, Spotify is experimenting on a decluttered Podcast list, where episode descriptions appear on a separate page. There’s also a Saved for Later tab for podcasts you like to listen later.
All of these experimental features are spotted on the Android version of Spotify, so there’s no guarantee that they will appear on the iOS version of the app. These experimental features are worth noting, as it appears that Spotify is tweaking its app as a one-stop-shop for anything and everything audio.
