Just in case you haven’t seen it yet. J.J. Abram’s sequel to his successful reboot of the Star Trek franchise just had its teaser trailer released. Guess who’s the big bad dude this time around? Yeahp, Mr. Holmes, Benedict Cumberbatch, plays…Khan!

If it’s a direct adaptation of the critically acclaimed Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan remains to be seen. But for now, we’re liking what we see. Plus, as fine an actor as Benedict Cumberbatch is, I think we can rest easily assured that we’re in for a pretty fun ride aboard the Starship Enterprise this time around.

Star Trek Into Darkness plunges into theaters on May of 2013.
