Tencent Taps Mineski Global for Upcoming World University Cyber League 2020

Mineski Global is partnering with Chinese tech giant Tencent to handle eSports tournaments for the Southeast Asia qualifiers stage of World University Cyber League (WUCL) 2020. The upcoming eSports tournament will feature Clash Royale, League of Legends, and PUBG Mobile as its key games.

For the SEA leg, schools from the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam have the chance to send in representatives to showcase their talent in one of the biggest eSports tournaments for schools and students. The tournament will be from June 28 to July 9, with the finals happening from July 10-15. Mineski Global’s Philippine division and the Youth eSports Program (YEP) will spearhead the qualifiers for the SEA region.

For many students, this will be a dream come true and, we hope, a life milestone for talented gamers,” YEP director Marlon Marcelo said.

A $5000 prize pool—split across the three titles—is at stake for the SEA leg of WUCL 2020.
