Annoyed at how high the pricing of Uber and Grab have become lately during the holiday season? You’re not alone – the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board are too, and have issued a warning over what they perceive as “unreasonable” surge rates for two of the most popular Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) in the Philippines – Uber and Grab.

According to the LTFRB, they’ve been receiving complaints that the surge prices of the two services range anywhere from Php 2,000 to an astounding Php 28,000 (yes, that’s not a typo) over the holiday season.

They also note that they have not been consulted by Uber regarding their upfront fares regarding on predictions feature, and has advised the public to contact them via SMS/Viber at 09175501342 or 09985501342. For screenshots of incidents and complaints, they can be sent to [email protected].
