Smart’s new app makes it easy to catch crucial Gilas Pilipinas games live, away from your TV

Smart has announced that they have released a new app on the Google Play store dubbed Viewstream. In a nutshell, Viewstream is a streaming video service that allows you to watch content on your mobile device through Smart’s data network. Sun and Talk ‘N Text subscribers shouldn’t feel left out – it works with their accounts as well.

Right now there’s two free channels on the app – TV5 and AksyonTV. You can view both channels free of charge, though if you want to watch live Gilas Pilipinas games, you’ll have to fork over Php 15 ( a day) to do so. Don’t worry about using a credit card though – the amount is automatically deducted from your Smart, Sun or Talk ‘N Text account as soon as you decide to get it. The Php15/day also means no ads nor commercials for the Viewstream channel, which offers 24 hours of basketball, including the livestream of the FIBA  World Cup games.
