We’ve been trying out a lot of bags lately so expect a barrage of features on different types of bags here on Unbox in the next few days! To kick things off we’d like to share with you guys this really awesome sling bag that we got from an international brand that recently just came to the Philippines: Booq. By the way, we’ve actually been monitoring Booq since we first heard about it five years ago. It’s awesome that they finally have local presence. Anyway, we picked up the Booq Cobra Sling and it’s a fantastic everyday gadget bag.

The exterior is made from durable bionic material (47% recycled PET and 53% cotton) with polyester lining. It’s weatherproof, rugged, and smooth which kinda delivers an old school yet still trendy look. It only comes in gray but that’s okay since it’s a very neutral color that can be both casual or formal. On the outside there are two major pockets, one being a zippered compartment, perfect for small gadgets like pocket wifi devices or USB drives.

If you open it you’ll immediately be greeted by the orange lining which is just awesome because it makes it easier to look for stuff in the bag (as opposed to an all-black lining). There are smart pockets for your various gadgets like your smartphone. Lastly there’s a plush-lined tablet pocket for your iPad, Galaxy Tab, or Nexus Tablet. We tried a variety of tablets in this bag and they all fit.

The Booq Cobra Sling is priced at Php6,490. It’s currently available in iStudio (Bonifacio High Street) and Switch (Glorietta and Alabang branches). If you’re looking for a nice looking everyday gadget bag that’s going to last you a while, this is it.
