Losing your cool in social media can be a costly thing.
In this social media crazy generation, we should salute all social media managers out there. Aside from being online 24/7, these guys have to deal with tons of trolls and annoying netizens plaguing social media accounts like wildfire. But of course, since they are humans, it is unavoidable for these social media managers to lose their cool once in a while. Case in point? When some troll accussed Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista of “doing favors” for Ilocos Norte governor Imee Marcos. Quezon City PIO’s social media manager tried to play it cool with the netizen at first:

But then, the social media manager of the QC PIO Twitter account kind of lost his cool, and ended up “insulting” the netizen:
Kung ginamit mo lang bungo mo sa pag-research, ano. DPWH may sakop ng Commonwealth at hindi LGU.

Not everyone liked what QC PIO Twitter account did:

Others agree, and said that the QC PIO Twitter account could have said it in a nice way.
Kalma lang pakisabi na lang kay Mayor na ifollow up nya sa DPWH, since part ng City nya ang commonwealth. Nagbabayad po kami ng tax.

While we are not sure what will happen to QC PIO Twitter’s social manager following the said gaffe, but we hope that other social media managers can learn a thing or two about the incident. What do you think guys?
