Civic is Back!
Honda Cars Philippines, Inc has recently launched its highly anticipated all-new Honda Civic to strengthen Honda’s return to the Philippine automotive market.
Since the launch of the first-gen Civic in 1973, the Civic has always been the favorite choice of many sedans users and has earned its place in the minds and hearts of the Philippine customers. In case you haven’t noticed, half of the streets in the metro today are occupied by Honda Civics—from the LXI to the SIR variants. Oddly, most owners are either in their mid-40s or in their 20s.
The new 9th generation CIVIC continues this tradition. Outside, the all-new Honda Civic shows a powerful and clear styling of the unique and dynamic mono-form body. During the development of the model, emphasis was placed on Fun-to-Drive and Fuel Efficient performance, Clean and Energetic styling, and Smart Technology interface. New features in the exterior body of the new Civic include: projector-type halogen headlights, front fog lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, side turn lights, and rear reverse camera.
The interior looks just as refined, you won’t think of its as a compact sedan. On the other hand, the interior features Honda’s first 5-inch color LCD intelligent multi-information display or i-MID. This smart interface has instantly understandable information display and intuitive and easy-to-operate controls at the steering wheel. The i-MID menu shows audio and fuel consumption information and also allows the driver to customize the vehicle light settings.
The interior department has lot to offer. It has an integrated audio system with CD/MP3/WMA player; USB connectivity and Auxiliary In; 6 speakers (including tweeters); Steering wheel controls (for i-MID and audio system); Cruise controls (steering wheel mounted); Bluetooth Hands Free Telephone Function (steering wheel integrated); 60:40 split-folding rear seats; and manually adjustable headlight leveling switch.
Engine-wise, the new Honda Civic has a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder i-VTEC technology and is equipped with 5-speed automatic transmission. As always, Honda put a lot of effort in ensuring passenger protection. Part of the car’s safety features are G-CON (G-Force Control) collision safety technology; Dual SRS airbags; ABS with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD); and Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA).
The all-new Honda Civic is pegged at Php. 1.074 million. Buyers can choose from a variety of colors: Carnelian Red (new); Urban Titanium; Taffeta White; and Crystal Black.
