When Universal Motors Corporation asked me to try their new Murano Z51, I said “yes” right away. Naturally, I was ecstatic when I got the call. After all, who in his right mind would refuse to get behind the wheel of the new Nissan Murano Z51?
Most commonly known as the ZUV, the second-gen Murano offers the bloodlines of Nissan’s premium hierarchy. The revolutionary and astounding muscle design of the Z51 grabs car geeks best interest making it more superior in its class. Propel to be the most unique body styling in all SUV class, the Z51 will definitely starves every buyers from its first encounter.
Equipped with an award-winning 3.5-liter VQ35DE engine, the Murano Z51 can tackle any road condition. On the road, you’ll notice a more refined ride and better connection with the asphalt—thanks to its XTRONIC CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) that bids smooth, quick response and car-liked ride on most surfaces.
The story, however, is the interior. The interior is excellent, with high quality and user-friendly design. No doubt, Nissan engineers invested time on this. Unlike other SUVs, the new Murano Z51 offers a long list of high-tech options, such as dual panel sunroof and entertainment system. Backpacking for long trip is not a problem; the Murano Z51 has very comfortable and extremely roomy front and rear seats.
Standard interior equipment includes: luxurious black leather front seats, push button ignition, dual-panel sunroof, power lift gate, 8-way power front driver seat, cruise control, rain sensing wipers, automatic flip-up rear seats, and 11-speaker Bose sound system.
The vehicle is also big in safety features. It has a dual front, side and curtain SRS airbags, EDB, vehicle dynamic control (VDC), and active head restraint. During nighttime, driver can easily view direction on the road as the Murano Z51 is equipped with Xenon HID headlamps that provides better optimum visibility—plus—a reverse camera monitor with parking assist, which helps aims driver better parking dealings.
Now, let’s talked about the price here. Nissan sells the new Murano Z51 at Php. 2.850 million—a much lower price compare to its previous selling price of Php. 3.1 million. Oh, well. If you’ve just won a lottery, why not buy?
