The Camry has long been one of the crown jewels of the Japanese car manufacturing company Toyota (pun intended since “Camry” actually means “Crown” in Japanese). It debuted in 1980s replacing the Corona and at first sales were slow but over time it grabbed significant market share and it’s now considered to be the leader in its category.

Let’s fast forward three decades later and now we’re seeing the 2012 Toyota Camry enter the Philippine market.

The design of the first-generation Camry fit well within the box-shaped trends of the early 1980s.
Giving the driver the full control, the steering wheel also incorporates audio, air condition and multi-information display (MID) buttons.

The 2012 Toyota Camry promises to deliver more of what typical buyers want from a premium luxury sedan. True to the brand the new Camry boasts of it’s iconic aerodynamic styling that just commands authority and attention. When compared to previous models you’ll notice the crisp character lines along the bumper and the extended grille that gives it a more aggressive character, something that’s similar to the Lexus “IS”.

Upon shifting into reverse, the on-screen reverse camera would show the rear area of the vehicle to facilitate safer backing-up.

When we go inside you’ll see that the interior has been increased for both front and rear occupants. The new Camry has slightly bigger dimensions compared to its previous model.

The steering wheel is covered with leather and wood grain that has automatic tilt and a telescopic system. It also has MID buttons which lets you control audio and air-condition.
